Rare: Warm through middle, lightly charred on the outside, bright red in the middle.
Medium rare: Warm through middle, with a hint of red in centre, mostly pink through the centre of steak.
Medium: Thick band of light pink through middle more browned than pink.
Medium well: Just a hint of pink in the middle, surface dark brown.
Well done: No pink at all, browned through. Steak has a solid feel.
Please allow cooking time if you prefer this way.
